About Tibetan |
| This weaving project was originally funded by Cultural Survival
Inc., a non-profit organization, to benefit the Tibetan refugee community
living in Nepal. The project has grown beyond anyone's expectations
and is now perhaps the only Tibetan rug weaving venture exclusively
using natural dyes. Many of the designs are traditional Tibetan designs,
but more recently the project has been producing designs based on
antique textiles as well as modern works of art. The wool is the finest
Himalayan wool, hand carded, hand spun and always with pure vegetal
dyes. |
